This major tech event in Porto will help understand the use of technology

Porto will play host to the Connect Fest, a major tech event poised to have significant impact in the industry, on 5 and 6 September 2019 with the aim of discussing the main technological trends of the near future.

The event will take place at the Auditorium of the Accounting Officers Association, in Porto, and it will gather over 700 participants.

The two-day conference features 28 talks, 8 workshops and lectures by renowned national and international speakers, who will address the themes of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, agile, UX, safety, blockchain, IoT, accesscibility, Virtual Reality and devOps.

The presences of Macy Kuang, of Miaomiao Games, Dinis Guarda, of Ztudium, Joe Birch, of Buffer, Julio Faerman, of Amazon, Luciano Resende and Arnaud Le Hors, of IBM, are already confirmed and more news will soon be announced.

The conference is essentially aimed at a specialist audience, namely programmers, developers, engineers and tech enthusiasts. Pedro Ribeiro, representative of the Connect Fest organisation stated that the speaker's line-up includes over 30 lecturers and that "this event is clearly targeted at expert participants, with an interest in sharing knowledge and experiences in areas related to technology. We wish to strengthen Portugal's image as a technogical hub, but we also want to emphasise that Lisbon is not the only place delivering cutting-edge technology. Porto is most definitely at the forefront when addressing this topic".

Connect Fest will gather in Porto speakers and experts from Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Bosch (which is the main sponsor of the event), among others.

Early birds are already available at the ticketline. Prices range from 75 to 350 euros.
