Street animation, artistic performances and embellishment of the public space will take to the pedestrian area of Cedofeita, on 6 July to offer customers several treats.

This is the 3rd Edition and it will take place at Rua de Cedofeita, namely the stretch between Carlos Alberto Square and the intersection with Breiner Street.

One of the most compelling issues at present is how urban histories are written and what type of narrative it will tell of a city; well, in Porto such narrative is written by means of initiatives as "Lojas na Rua" ["Shops in the Street", free translation], which promotes different business areas in Porto.

The space is already being embellished and prompted as neon ribbons swirl overhead passers-by to draw attention on this event, with 57 stores taking part in the "Lojas na Rua" initiative.

From 10.30am to 7pm, on 6 July, stores will gift customers special treats, pedestrians will have the opportunity to admire the artistic installation by Madalena Martins and the artistic work carried out in shop Windows especially arranged by window dresser Regina Pinheiro.

The "Lojas na Rua" is an initiative promoted by Porto City Hall, and it was first launched in 2016; its main goal is to help boost traditional trade.
