Celebrating music in Cedofeita for the weekend

The Feast of Music is back to enliven the weekend. Partygoers will be able to buy and exchange records, instruments or other items, see live performances and visit exhibitions, whose topic is attached to the world of music. This event is sponsored by Porto City Hall and the entrance is free. Saturday the event takes place from 10 am to 7 pm and on Sunday it runs from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Porto hosts International Festival of Electronic Music in July

RPMM Portugal - Representing People Music Movement is the theme of the Electronic Music Festival that will take place at the Customs Building in the city of Porto, on 28 and 29 July. In a statement, the organization explains that the purpose is to "turn Porto historic centre in the perfect playground for the lovers of this musical genre".

Japanese street stall is restored and returned to the Mompilher square

The iconic and centenarian street stall at Mompilher square is again part of the urban landscape, after having been degraded and dismantled some years ago. The structure was heavily damaged following a fire in 2014. It is classified as a Public Interest Building and it is the only private street stall in the city of Porto.

Celebrating 30 years of Puppet Theatre in Porto

The celebrations to mark 30 years of Puppet Theatre in Porto kick-off today with the performance "Fausto", staged by Roberto Merino, in honour of the company's founder, João Paulo Seara Cardoso (1956-2010). "Fausto", will be on stage at the Teatro de Belomonte till 4 February, with sessions from Thursdays to Sundays.

KINO brings German speaking films to Rivoli and Passos Manuel

KINO - German Film Festival celebrates its 15th edition and as of 24 January, the Rivoli Theatre and the Passos Manuel Cinema will feature a comprehensive programme that includes the latest films in the German language. This event is jointly organised by the Goethe Institut and Porto Municipal Theatre.

Tripass 2018 even more inviting

Tripass 2018 is even more inviting as its main purpose is to spur the return of cinema shows to the city centre. With a brand new appealing image, the Tripass is an initiative launched by Porto City Hall in 2017 and it grants discounts in cinema shows at Porto Municipal Theatre (Rivoli and Campo Alegre), Passos Manuel and Trindade.

Concert in favour of Syrian students brings together Pedro Burmester and Mário Laginha at Casa da Música

Renowned pianists Mário Laginha and Pedro Burmester will play on 4 February at Casa da Música to support students from Syria. The concert is scheduled for 6 pm and it is jointly organised by Casa da Música and the Global Platform for Syrian Students. This event is held under the high patronage of the former President of the Republic, Jorge Sampaio.

Le Stade de Wimbledon opens French film shows at Rivoli

The journey to french cult film is the first topic of the Seventh Art sessions that will take place every Tuesday at Rivoli, starting on 23 January, at 6.30m pm. The film screening features two 35mm films, "Le Stade de Wimbledon", by Mathieu Amalric, at 6.30 pm followed by the presentation of the film "Trois ponts sur la rivière" by Jean-Claude Biette at 10 pm.

Thousands of partygoers went to Rivoli

Dance, theatre, performance, music and a lot more to mark the 86th anniversary of Rivoli. The event was entirely access free and the celebration went on for nearly 20 hours non-stop.

The exhibit "O Coliseu e a Cidade: 75 Anos de Histórias" [The Coliseu and the City: 75 years of Stories], on display at Porto City Hall main lobby and scheduled to end on 19 January, will be on show till 31 January.
