The "Festival de Francesinhas" is back in downtown Porto from 27 September to 7 October, at D. João I Square. This gastronomic event gathers some of the most renowned restaurants and breweries in the city of Porto.

The "gig" economy and the reshaping of the world of work is the lead topic of the OECD 14th LEED Forum - Local Development Practitioners, Entrepreneurs, and Social Innovators, which took place on 18 and 19 September in Porto.

The city of Porto will be represented in the 3rd edition of the Portugal Real Estate Summit, which takes place in Estoril, as of this afternoon. InvestPorto is the entity from the city of Porto to showcase the municipal strategy, regarding talent attraction.

Portugal Fashion and ModaLisboa agreed on an understanding that set up the landmark agreement that will benefit both designers and Portuguese fashion industry. This protocol marked the end of the "back to back" living in fashion terms in the country. The cooperation agreement defines that designers and fashion shows work together, for added value services and products, starting this October with the joint Fashion Week.

The Portuguese Women in Tech Awards (PWIT) is a project aimed at awarding leading female experts in the tech panel, within the national entrepreneurial ecosystem. This was one of the eight selected initiatives, in a total of 57 applications, in the context of the ScaleUp Porto Open Call, sponsored by Porto City Hall.

Urban Market bids farewell to summer with a picnic on 14, 15 and 16 September at Praça das Cardosas and on 20 and 21 September at Garden Infante Dom Henrique. Portugal Lovers invites for some of summer's best days, as blossoming season is coming to a close. This event is entrance free, and operating hours are from 11 am to 7 pm. This initiative is supported by Porto City Hall and Porto Lazer.

Porto plays host to the Smart Capital event, promoted by the International Venture Club (IVC) jointly with Porto City Hall. The aim of this initiative is to gather business innovators, managers of investment funds and independent investors for doing business.

Porto Customs Congress centre plays host to the 2nd Annual Edition of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) Forum, on 13th September. This event is supported by Porto City Hall, organised by NGI (Next Generation Internet), and promoted by The European Commission. The main topics on the agenda are the trust factor on the Internet, social artificial intelligence, Internet software, decentralised data governance, block chain and network infrastructure.

The Synchronicity's Open Call is looking for a European Project aimed at supporting the development of smart solutions/and or services to address urban development challenges. Porto City Hall provides founding worth three million euros to support the best proposals, which should be implemented in 2019. Applications are ongoing till 30th September.

About 30 Port and Douro Wine producers get together for a Sunset Party, on 8th September. This event is open to the entire city. The hot spot is the Garden of the Oliveiras (next to the Clérigos Tower), from 5 to 10 pm.
