Let the nice weather transform your weekend and spend Saturday and Sunday outdoors. The municipal programme Days with Energy is back this Saturday and Sunday to brighten moods.

Dani Sordo is the overall winner of Porto Super Special Stage

The Spanish pilot Dani Sordo, driver of the Hyundai team, is the overall winner of Porto Super Special Stage, the race that is part of the 54the edition of the Rally de Portugal, which was raced this Saturday evening, surrounding the Forte de São João Baptista, with circa 1.1 km, with pilots driving three laps around that circuit.

The starting line for the Women’s Race is on 22 and 23 May

EDP Women's Race is held today and tomorrow, on 22 and 23 May. This is a special edition as it takes to the virtual format, owing to constraints regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Anyone, anywhere in the world can participate, and have the opportunity to not only have lots of fun while exercising, but also running for a noble goal: fighting breast cancer. Participants of 17 nationalities have already registered.

Rally de Portugal is out in the road and arrives in Porto this Saturday

The Rally de Portugal Super Special Stage in Foz do Douro does not allow general public in attendance. There will be a live broadcast by RTP and SportTV, starting at 7 pm.

It is all about promoting goals and changing lives! Desporto no Bairro second edition kicks off this month

This second edition of “Desporto no Bairro”, which kicks-off this month, has the goal of “doing more and better”, affirmed Rui Moreira. As such, until the end of July, from Monday to Saturday, there will be skate and surf lessons, in addition to breaking. The target audience are the youth from Porto, in another six neighbourhoods that will offer classes delivered by over 20 teachers. The investment rose to circa 100 thousand euros. The presentation session took place at the Parque da Pasteleira.

Thierry Neuville will donate up to 10 thousand euros to a social charity in Porto

Each stage of the World Rally Championship, Belgian rally driver Thierry Neuville of Hyundai Motorsport, chooses a local association to donate, at least, two thousand euros. This amount doubles if the Belgian pilot finishes second or third in the race, and can go up to 10 thousand euros if he gets first podium place in the Rally de Portugal, which already happened in 2018.

Rally pilots do the warm up leg racing of the Foz do Douro

Starting at 3.30 pm today, rally drivers will race the outlined circuit to “warm-up” the engines. The race is organised by the Automóvel Clube de Portugal and it will be the fourth stage to score to the WRC- World Rally Championship, to be held between 20 and 23 May, as previously planned for 2020, before it was halted by the pandemic. The event will be televised by RTP and streamed to over 160 countries.

Work you stamina with days with Energy and Sundays in Shape Municipal Programmes

The opportunity to gather and practice outdoor group exercise routines is on again, under the municipal programme Days with Energy (Dias com Energia) and Sundays in Shape (Domingos em Forma), as the final phase of the easing of lockdown enters into effect. This weekend, due to the adverse weather forecast, all activities will be held indoors, in municipal pavilions to guarantee the participant's comfort. Porto Super Special Stage Rally de Portugal updates

This event will not be open to fans, due to coronavirus concerns; nonetheless, aficionados will have the opportunity to watch a Super Special via RTP television transmission. This event scores for the ranking of the WRC programme and the fascinating leg of Porto is scheduled for 22nd May, this time with a Super Special stage at the Forte de São João Baptista, in Foz do Douro. The assembly of the event’s infrastructure is ongoing and on 18 may drivers test the Super Special Porto Leg.

Estádio do Dragão hosts the Champions League final

Manchester City and Chelsea will fight for the coveted title of the best European club, on 29 May, at 8 pm, at the Estádio do Dragão, in Porto. This was an announcement by the FC Porto and the Portuguese Football Federation.
