Today is Porto Marathon Bronze Label, a race that is part of the world circuit
EDP Porto Marathon 16th edition is held today, on 3rd November. Over 16 thousand atheletes are estimated to take part in the 42 km race, starting at 9am. The race route comprises Porto, Gaia and Matosinhos and all is set to meet the necessary mobility conditions.
"Days with Energy" Municipal Programme is now held indoors
The Municipal Programme "Days with Energy" invites everyone to Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi sessions. These events are held every Saturday at the Fontes Pereira de Melo Pavilion and are access free. You only need to wear comfortable clothes.
Do Zumba for free on the last weekend of October at Oriental Park in Porto
Everyone is invited to convene at the Park Oriental of the City of Porto, to join in a super mega Zumba Class, on 26th October, in the framework of the "Porto a treinar" initiative ["Training in Porto ", free translation]. FADEUP retired Professor is Canoeing World Champion
Former Professor at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto covered the 14.6 kilometres of the water sports competition in one hour and 15 minutes and won the gold medal at the Masters competition (70-74 years rank) of the Worlds' Canoeing Marathon, taking place in China.
Stig Blomqvist steers the Audi Sport Quattro S1 wheel in Porto
Former rally driver champion, the Swedish Stig Lennart Blomqvist will be driving his Audi Sport Quattro S1 at the RallySpirit Altronix 2019, which will be in town from 8th till 10th November, as he is the show-head in this mega-event. Among an array of events, Blomqvist took the title "Champion of Champions" in 1989 and 1990, at the Race of Champions.

The Porto & Matosinhos Wave Series is back in Praia International in Porto, from 5th to 6th October. This is the second edition of the Crédito Agrícola Open & Masters Cup, a surf event for more experienced surfers, to be held this coming weekend at Praia International in Porto or in Leça da Palmeira, depending on sea conditions.

The thirteenth edition of Porto Half Marathon, held in Porto on 22 September, is one of the best half marathons in the world and brought together 12 to 13 thousand participants, from 40 different nationalities, people with special needs and a top international elite of competitors, with Maxwell Kortek Rotich (Uganda) and Antonina Kwambai (Kenya) reaching the first podium positions of the race.
