Porto was home to two events under the "Cultura em Expansão" programme; on 7th March, the Church of São Pedro de Miragaia was stage to a concert by Lula Pena, and, the night before, the auditorium of Campanhã hosted a performance by Miguel Pereira. The events were access free, as all events of "Cultura em Expansão", and the public filled the venues.

Air Canada announced its offering of direct flights between Porto and the Canadian Province of Ontario, home to Ontario's capital, Toronto. The new service of Air Canada Rouge will be operated by the Boeing 767-300ER, delivering four weekly flights, starting this 29th March.

"Ghost Master", by Paul Young, was the winner of Best Film Award at the 40th edition of Fantasporto. The event took place at Rivoli, from 25th February to 8th March. Mosquito, a 2019 film by director João Nuno Pinto tells the story of a young Portuguese soldier, Zacarias, who searches for heroic adventures and glory, in WWI. Zacarias is sent to Mozambique and embarks on a journey through the wood, searching for war and for his dreams of glory.
