Theatres in Porto open earlier to allow audiences to comply with the civic duty to stay at home

Concert halls feature a new timetable, as of 4th November, to enable the audience to accommodate the civic duty to refrain from circulating in public spaces in the city and to be able to attend performances.

Porto green spaces are granted the Green Flag seal of quality, again

The "Green Flag" award is granted, again, to three green spaces in Porto, by the NGO Keep Britain Tidy. The City Park, the Jardim do Passeio Alegre and the Porto Botanical Garden, under the tutelage of the Municipality of Porto, now bear, as in 2019, the international mark of quality.

Cycle track between Campo Alegre and Asprela concluded on 2nd November

The bicycle path between the university poles of Campo Alegre and Asprela concluded on 2nd November, with the implementation of the cycle track between Rua de Teodoro de Sousa Maldonado and Rua do Dr. António Bernardino de Almeida. Also, on 2nd November, the Rua de Monsanto street (close by the Jardim da Arca D'Água), which is included in the cycle track, alters its traffic flow.

A special publication and a cinematic journey to celebrate the Cineclube do Porto 75th anniversary

Porto provides a second drive-thru Covid-19 testing centre

As of today, there is a second drive-thru Covid-19 testing centre in Porto, namely in the parish of Campanhã. This new equipment was set up in the parking lot of S. Roque, a space provide by the City Hall. This screening centre is run as the one set up at the Queimódromo (operated by Unilabs), since the beginning of the pandemic, the first of its kind to be set up in the country, and people don't need to exit their vehicles to get tested. The fifth AtlaS.WH - World Heritage Sites in the Atlantic Area - runs on a virtual format from 3 to 4 November. Zero waste project wins the European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2020

The Zero Waste project won first prize in the category "Support to ecological market development and resources efficiency", under the European Enterprise Promotion Awards, promoted by the European Commission. This initiative, is organised in partnership with LIPOR, inter-municipal network management, upgrading and treatment of urban waste, of which Porto is part of, and the main objective is to recover circa 350 tons of food.
