Porto hosts the 2nd edition of BEAST - International Film Festival on 26 September and this year the festival is devoted to Ukraine. Porto City Hall provides founding worth three million euros to support the best proposals, which should be implemented in 2019. Applications are ongoing till 30th September.

Porto Book Fair 2018 features a Cinema Cycle that is forged on the right to protest, the idea of insurgence in society towards a rule of state. The cinematographic representation on show at the Fair deals with the topic of revolt, rebellion and the valid objection of society and authority.
