The 2018/2019 Season presentation event of National Theatre São João (TNSJ) programming, on 7th September, offers three free concerts at Theatre Carlos Alberto (TeCA).

The city of Porto will host the book fair from 7 to 23 September at the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal and besides the 134 publishing companies represented, there will be the "Cabine de Escalas" project, aimed at hosting small and large scale independent publishing houses, free of charge.

The stress relieve programme, supported by Run Porto and Porto Lazer is back this September and it offers exercise as a great way of tension reliever. Exercise and stress management are closely linked, so save these dates: 9 and 23 September, at the Oriental Park of Porto.

The first Saturday in September brings along street bustle and hustle in Porto Belo Market, one of the first street markets of Porto, established in Carlos Alberto Square. The market runs from 10 am till 7 pm.

The House-Museum Marta Ortigão Sampaio invites to a "feel good" moment in twilight conditions. The event is scheduled for 31 August, at 6 pm.

The highlight of the 2018-2019 cultural season in Porto offers circus arts at its grandeur. From 13 to 16 September, the New Circus Project by Coliseu Porto Ageas, with the support of Porto Lazer celebrates the art of circus featuring over 40 free entry performances to be held in Coliseu, Batalha Square, Poveiros Square, S. Lázaro Garden and in Santo Ildefonso Plaza.

A group of researchers of INESC TEC, in Porto, has created a forest cleaner robot. The main goal of such a robot is to reduce the costs of this type of operation, which could cost up to billions of euros.

"Boom for Real: The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat" (2011) by Sara Driver features the pre-fame years of the celebrated American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in the late-'70s New York.

Intercultural communication will be the theme of an afternoon devoted to celebrating different social and cultural backgrounds, in areas such as music, dance, singing, and fashion, at St. Ildefonso Church Square (next to Batalha Square), between 2.30 pm and 7.30 pm.

"Stop! Think! Lead!" is the programme that gathers in Porto students of 17 different nationalities with the fundamental goal of debating leadership and diversity, and bringing companies closer to students.
