2018 Season - Bombarda Openings kick-off Saturday

This coming Saturday, 13th January the 2018 Season of Bombarda Openings kicks-off with the first Cycle of parallel openings at this arts district. With a total of six cycles of parallel openings, the most artsy quarter in the city of Porto begins the season dedicated to contemporary art.

Coliseu and the City: 75 Years of Stories on display at Porto City Hall lobby till 19 January

The exhibit "O Coliseu e a Cidade: 75 Anos de Histórias" [Coliseu and the City: 75 Years of Stories], will be on show at the City Hall lobby till 19th January. Inspired by the aesthetic value of artist Piet Mondrian, the display demonstrates the modernist items that are part of the Coliseu Porto acquis, and also elements from the Municipal Archive and the Portuguese Photography Centre collection, some being shown for the first time.

Poetic Cycle tertulia resumes on 18 January at Theatre Campo Alegre

The poetic cycle "Quintas de leitura" takes up again on 18 January, at Campo Alegre Auditorium, around 10 pm, featuring poet Rui Lage, The winner of the Literary Prize Inês de Castro Foundation.

First Flea Market 2018 takes place at Silo Auto

The first Flea Market Porto 2018 is scheduled for Saturday, 13th January at the Silo Auto Parking area. This event is access free.

Municipal Theatre of Porto announces new programming on 10 January

The Municipal Theatre of Porto announces programming for the 2018 season, on 10 January, starting at 6.30 pm at Theatre Campo Alegre. This event is free and open to the public. The detailed programming for the first half of 2018 will bring new shows for all interests.

10th Edition of Green Project Awards acknowledges the best national projects towards sustainability

The winners of the 2018 edition of the Green Project Awards will be announced on 12 January, at Customs of Porto. This event is organised jointly by Porto City Hall and Lipor.

Improvisational theatre by White Rabbit, Red Rabbit

Theatre Company "mala voadora" sets off the first performance of an improvisational theatre that is sponsored by Porto City Hall through the Criatório programme. This bold and innovative project will last for the entire year 2018 and comprises improv or impro theatre in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted but rather created spontaneously by the performers.

Transforming lives with Ubuntu Bridges at Serralves Foundation on 7 January

The Serralves Foundation Auditorium hosts the Conference Ubuntu Bridges 2018, on 7 January. This event is entrance free and it is all about sharing the life stories of the participants to the 4th edition of the Ubuntu Leaders Academy. This conference takes place between 10 am and 6 pm.

International Student enrolment at the University of Porto for the school year 2018/2019

The University of Porto provides a total number of 567 vacancies for international students for the school year 2018/2019, 155 more places than the previous academic year. Applications must be submitted via Faculty (or Degree) where the student intends to study.
