What to do this long weekend in Porto? Here goes a suggestion: visit the renovated Natural History and Science Museum of the University of Porto and explore the National Geographic exhibit themed "Um Século e Tanto" ["Quite a Century", free translation].

Porto plays host to the first edition of the Melting Gastronomy Summit, which takes place at the Customs Building on 14, 15 and 16 November. For three full days, it will be possible to have a taste of all the exquisite food prepared by chefs from all around the globe.

The exhibition "E contudo, elas movem-se! Mulheres e ciência", [And yet, they move! Women in Science!], on display at the Rectory of the University of Porto concludes today, 29th October. Entrance is free.

The 10th edition of BIN@, an international network cofounded by the University of Porto, in 2010, will be held in Brazil, from 30th October until 1st November.

"A problem was solved, (...). One that afflicted and upset people from Porto. (...) the public interest of this rather small infrastructure is immeasurable", said Mayor Rui Moreira. Super Bock Arena - Pavilhão Rosa Mota opening concert will be on 31st October, at 10pm, by the band from Porto Ornatos Violeta. It repeats the following day, at the same hour.

The duo "Palcos Instáveis/In coproduction with Companhia Instável takes to the stage a moment of dance that embraces mine, yours, everyone's imagined and real life. At Theatre Campo Alegre, on 9th November, at 9pm.
