The airliner Swiss announced it will introduce the Airbus A320neo jet-airliner on the Porto-Zurich route, starting on 9th June.

Designer from Porto, Márcia Novais awarded by the Buchkunst Foundation

Designer from Porto, Márcia Novais conquered podium position at the Best Book Design From All Over the World. The Buchkunst Foundation, aka Book Art Foundation acknowledged Márcia Novais' work and granted her the Bronze Medal for her graphic work on the book by Ana Jota and Ricardo Valentim, "Moer", which was edited by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

As of March, the Municipal Programme "Days with Energy" will become more inclusive as it extends to other three locations in Porto. This new agenda kicks off the first Saturday of March, which will include three new locations for these drop in classes, adding to the already provided free classes at the Municipal Pavilion Fontes Pereira de Melo. Participation is always free and no registration is required. Just drop in at the scheduled time and wear comfortable clothes and a Yoga or Pilates mat.

The municipality now has environmentally-friendly cars and motorcycles and quadricycles. The necessary infrastructure to charging these vehicles is in place and this is an ongoing investment.

The Urban Market is back in Porto, from 28th February to 1st March and the host venue is the iconic Ateneu Comercial do Porto. The goal is to raise money for a just cause. The market is open from 11am till 7pm.

Porto welcomes Hollywood Icons at the Portuguese Photography Centre

"Hollywood Icons" brings to Porto the legends of Hollywood; actors and actresses that make Hollywood the place where stars are born. This is a unique display that features the portraits of the big screen all time legends, as of 6th March, at the Portuguese Photography Centre. It will run till 7th June. The display can be visited from 10am to 7pm. There are guided tours and tickets cost 6 euros.

Porto Airport continues to increase the number of handled direct routes

Porto Airport continues to increase new direct routes operated as it is a viable and competitive airport. As stated previously by TAP, Emirates, Finnair and Ryanair. This time round it is the airliner EasyJet that has announced that it will strengthen flight connections to Porto Airport starting this summer. According to Publituris, the information was released by the low cost airline and it represents a 15% enhancement.
