As of tomorrow, the city of Porto will be one that is bustling with dances and songs, showcasing the tradition and culture of eight countries. This is the International Folklore Festival City of Porto, and for nine days in July, from 21st to 29th July, more than 250 participants will perform in locations such as Trindade Metro Station, Quinta de São Romão, the Social Centre of Sé, the Garden of Arca d'Água or the Gomes Teixeira Square.

This morning, Terreiro da Sé was the place of choice of this amazing crowd. Eight hundred people armed with notebooks, pencils, water colours, pencils, poster paint and mere inspiration surrendered to the "amazing vistas" of the city of Porto and "the extraordinary traits of such a unique city".

Moscow is the global capital to debate the cities of the future. The MUF 2018 - Moscow Urban Forum runs from 17 to 22 July, under the topic "Megacity of the Future: New Space for Living". This event gathers renowned speakers worldwide, and Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto was one of the guest speakers who shared the city's starting point regarding sustainability and social cohesion: culture.

Three projects made in Porto obtained podium positions in the framework of the 10th edition of the National Prize on Creative Industries Super Bock/Serralves. Horizon47, Guava Shoes and Quarteto Contratempus stood out among the ten finalists and were awarded, respectively, first, second and third prizes.

This is the 9th edition of the "Passeio Duas Rodas Clássicas" [Parade of Classic Two wheel vehicles] in Porto, on 22 July, scheduled to begin at 9 am at Avenida dos Aliados.

The most promising piano players of the world are gathered at Casa da Música and at the Manuel António da Mota Foundation in the context of the Santa Cecilia Piano Contest. Campo Alegre Theatre plays host to the II International Gala for Young Dancers from 18th till 19th July, starting at 9.30 pm. This event is organised by the Associação Cultural Nordança - Companhia, whose main goal is to acknowledge the work carried out by young promising dancers, providing the perfect opportunity to networking and sharing experiences with the focus on dance as a professional activity.
