Best Of Wine Tourism winners announced

The six winners of the Best Of Wine Tourism 2018 were announced in Porto. This prize aims at honouring excellence and innovation in the wine tourism sector. Porto played host to this event as a Great Wine Capitals Global Network member, an organisation that aggregates 10 cities and the corresponding wine-growing areas, considered the best in the world.

Porto Municipal Archive was visited over 3 million times in five years

In five years, Porto Municipal Archive had around 170 million visitors per day, enabling the online free consultation of nearly 161 thousand documents and 47 thousand images. It is worth spotlighting that among the 168.880 visitors, 25 per cent are from outside Portugal. Moreover, visitors represent several nationalities, more specifically 75 countries from different continents.

Researcher from i3S awarded international prize in genetics

The i3S - Research Institute and Health Innovation of University of Porto (U. Porto) is on the spotlight once again for the best reason: Joana Loureiro, a PhD student has won the 2017 edition of the excellence award for genetic research assigned by the American Society of Genetics (SHG). This is the first time that a Portuguese researcher is awarded this challenging prize.

Dancing Grandmothers premieres 3 November in Rivoli
