After six months of closure due to the new coronavirus pandemic, TMP new season comes back with dance as the main focus, with OCD Love, by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar - renowned Israeli artists and founders of the dance company L-E-V, starting on 17th September, with all the necessary preventive measures issued by Health Authorities.

The support programme for artistic globalization Shuttle is to boost five new projects, which were approved by the Municipal Executive's last meeting, on 20th July. The projects were submitted during the third phase of the tender, and the jury, composed of Miguel Leal, Fátima São Simão and Pedro Junqueira Maia, selected five projects, related to visual arts and curatorship and performing arts.

The utterance and verse of Andreia C. Faria can be met at the patio on the Museum of natural History and Science of the University of Porto (MHNC-UP) for the third session on poetry, promoted by the University of Porto, jointly with Porto Editora. Entrance is free, but subject to prior appointment at the Eventbrite portal, under the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Porto Pianofest 2020 will make its online debut for one week in August. Amid the pandemic, nearly all cultural activities had to be adjusted to meet the necessary Covid-19 control measures. The fifth edition of this festival will write a new chapter in its history and the good news is that over 70 musicians will take to this different platform to reach audiences worldwide this August. This edition of Porto Book Fair is about literature written by women and thus the tribute is to poet Leonor de Almeida, who remains somewhat a mystery to the larger audience, and who will have her name inscribed in the Avenida das Tílias (aka Linden Avenue), and also the immunologist and poet, as well, Maria de Sousa, who recently passed away due to Covid-19.

Following a four month period of closed doors due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Puppet Theatre of Porto reopens on 15th July, featuring an exhibition that revisits some of the most iconic work by the theatre.

The Municipal Ateliers applications open on 20th July, but the regulation is already available for consultation. The project was approved unanimously in the last Municipal Executive Meeting, and it will provide six spaces to visual artists in Porto, by means of affordable rental for a three-year period.

August will see the the centennial celebrations of TNSJ, which will be ongoing until March 2021. The programming include shows and performances hosted at other venues that are run by TNSJ, namely the Teatro Carlos Alberto (TeCA) and the Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória. Celebrations hd to be readjusted to the ongoing health crisis.

More than 70 caricatures of Einstein go on display at the Galleria II to pay tribute to the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics. Theses caricatures were part of the 22nd edition of PortoCartoon and are complemented by a caricature display on Chico Buarque, Camões Prize 2019. Take time to pause and feel in Porto.

The project "Estúdios e Ateliers Municipais" ["Studios and Municipal Ateliers"], which was debated at the Municipal Executive meeting, on 6th July under proposition of Mayor Rui Moreira, is targeted at city artists who, upon selection through tender, will be able to convert spaces in Porto Historic Centre into their art studios, namely in Lada area, next to the Túnel da Ribeira.
