In the run-up to Christmas, Porto's Xmas markets offer the best Xmas related products and foodstuffs. Steep yourselves in the festive spirit and indulge to find essential Xmas handicrafts or simply strolling around town to feel the holiday vibe.

Magic wands and "Quidditch" are on the menu in Porto, on 15 December at the Mercado do Bom Sucesso. Harry Potter's fans, rejoice! The most fantastic evening of the year, "The Potter Party" begins at 8 pm and concludes at 10.30 pm.

The circus tradition in the city of Porto, continuous since 1941, will once more stage shows at Coliseu Porto Ageas from 14 December till 1st January, with no animals in the circus arena. Featuring the best talents from around the globe, the circus at Coliseu has it all - breath taking circus act, jaw-dropping magic, and much more!

Memorable scenes and striking characters were on the menu for the 3rd edition of the "Salão Piolho" initiative, which concluded on 9 December with the screening of short films by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Méliès at Porto City Hall main foyer.

A visit to the Bolhão Temporary Market (BTM) will be a fun experience as the sound of jazz will find its home at BTM to help you get in the festive mood, on 8 December, starting at 3 pm.

With the festive feeling already upon us, Porto Christmas Village, at the customs Building, will give you the opportunity to indulge in the festive traditions, be it food or drink, and having fun and relaxing with family and friends.

The city of Porto was chosen to organise the major event Cities Forum 2019. This will be the time to gather key stakeholders from European, national and local levels to debate the progress of the urban agenda for the EU, the urban dimension of the Cohesion Policy and also the EU response to the urban dimension of the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda.

From 1 December till 6 December, the city of Porto will be dressed up in merry colours for the festive season. Streets and squares will transform into sheer joy as lighting and caroling will wrap everyone's hearts into the values of humanity and solidarity.
