Porto Blues Fest brings New Orleans to the Invicta, on 17 and 18 May. Tickets are available in the usual places.

World Tai Chi Day is celebrated all around the world on the last Saturday of April and Porto will join the celebration with free classes on 27 April. Everyone is invited to convene at the Park Oriental of the City of Porto.

The DDD- Days of the Dance Festival kicks off today, 24th April, with the novelty this year of joining the activities programme of FITEI. There will be concurrent shows, masterclasses and conferences in Porto, and in the neighbouring cities of Gaia and Matosinhos.

This Thursday, 25 April, the main lobby of Porto City Hall hosts the exhibit "A Substância do Tempo - 25 fotografias de Sérgio Valente, 45 anos depois do 25 de Abril" ["The Substance of Time - 25 pictures by Sérgio Valente, 45 years after the 25th April", free translation], curated by Carlos Magno and produced by the Municipality of Porto. The exhibit opens at 12 o'clock and it is inaugurated by the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira. Entrance is free.

Mayor Rui Moreira recently visited Oman, in the context of the Design Muscat international conference, the first to be held in the south eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia, and investment and economic cooperation between the cities of Muscat and Porto were highlights on the agenda.

The visual artist Rui Palma presents the photo exhibit "Em casa" ["At Home", free translation], in the context of the DDD - Days of the Dance Festival 2019, which will be on display at the Rivoli Theatre, from 24 April till 25 May.

The first phase of the Poetry Slam Porto, a Poetry and Performance Festival, will take place at Casa Bô (Rua do Bonfim, 356) on 19 April, at 10pm. If you feel like sharing some of your inspiration, by exploring prompts, this event will offer open mic opportunities for poets, plays, speeches and more.

Serralves Museum in Porto is among the 100 most visited museums in the world, with 946.932 visitors in 2018. The museum holds the 84th position in the top 100 list, according to data from The Art Newspapers, provided by Lusa.

A team of students of the Faculty of Economy of the University of Porto (FEP) took second place in the podium in the Belgrade Business International Case Competition 2019 (BBICC 2019), a competition on the resolution of business cases, which took place in the Serbian capital city from 7 to 13 April.
