Happy End (2017), written and directed by Michael Haneke, premieres at Theatre Campo Alegre, on 26th July.

The "family photo" taken at Avenida dos Aliados, in front of the City Hall, on 21st July, marks the end of the International Urban Sketchers 9th Symposium, an event that brought together 800 sketchers of 46 different nationalities, background and age group to Porto. The 10th International Urban Sketchers Symposium will be hosted by Urban Sketchers Netherlands, in Amsterdam.

As of tomorrow, the city of Porto will be one that is bustling with dances and songs, showcasing the tradition and culture of eight countries. This is the International Folklore Festival City of Porto, and for nine days in July, from 21st to 29th July, more than 250 participants will perform in locations such as Trindade Metro Station, Quinta de São Romão, the Social Centre of Sé, the Garden of Arca d'Água or the Gomes Teixeira Square.

Moscow is the global capital to debate the cities of the future. The MUF 2018 - Moscow Urban Forum runs from 17 to 22 July, under the topic "Megacity of the Future: New Space for Living". This event gathers renowned speakers worldwide, and Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto was one of the guest speakers who shared the city's starting point regarding sustainability and social cohesion: culture.

Silicon Valley's most entrepreneurial students (USA) visited the University of Porto (U.P) for an entire week and had the chance of getting to know innovative projects being developed at U.Porto, from 8 to 14 July.

Turkish Airlines has already communicated to the booking systems that the number of weekly flights between Istanbul and Porto will increase to 10 flights, in the summer of 2019.

The Mayor of Porto is one of the invited speakers to the MUF - Moscow Urban Forum taking place in the Russian capital, from 17 to 22 July. Rui Moreira addressed the topic "Capital of Impressions. Events as a Driver of Urban Economy" and presented Porto's experience regarding creativity and investments.

Campo Alegre Theatre plays host to the II International Gala for Young Dancers from 18th till 19th July, starting at 9.30 pm. This event is organised by the Associação Cultural Nordança - Companhia, whose main goal is to acknowledge the work carried out by young promising dancers, providing the perfect opportunity to networking and sharing experiences with the focus on dance as a professional activity.

Porto-Nice, the new flight connection by EasyJet, which is already available for bookings, will perform its maiden flight on 30th October and will operate till 30th March 2019, offering three weekly flights.

The University of Porto (U. Porto) is included in the ranking of the 50 best world institutions in the Food Technology area. U. Porto ranks twelfth in the Food Technology programme in the Shanghai Subject Ranking, and ranks 41st at world level in the Chemical Engineering undergraduate programme.
