Porto Municipal Gallery launches the catalogue of the exhibition "Quatro Elementos", on a session that will take place at the hall of the Auditorium of the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett (Palácio de Cristal Gardens), on March 17, starting at 5 pm. Porto City Hall has signed a protocol with the Academic Federation of Porto (FAP) and several educational institutions in the city of Porto to launch an online information platform for students in Porto.

Temporary Market of Bolhão opens May 2

The opening of the Temporary Market of Bolhão, located at the shopping centre La vie, will happen on May 2, after traders are relocated by the end of April. Following the authorisation of the Court of Auditors, the works contract will kick-off in May, according to the programme established by the municipal company Go Porto, which will run the two-year project, involving the rehabilitation works and the upgrading of the landmark building.

Porto Municipal Gallery, jointly with the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) features the most complete collection, to date, by Cabrita Reis. Porto PianoFest travelled to New York for the first international concert

The festival Porto PianoFest just went international with the first concert held at the Yamaha Artist Services, in Manhattan, New York, on March 10. This event was jointly sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Business Development Agency (AICEP). The purpose of this concert was to enrich the artistic transatlantic dialogue, as well as the image of the city of Porto and of Portugal, by presenting the festival to the Portuguese-American community.

Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovations Agency to be set up in Porto

The Portuguese Government will settle a new Agency, the Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovations Agency (AICIB), in the city of Porto. As stated by the Portuguese Government, "the agency will work as an effective means of promotion and development of clinical research in Portugal". The new entity will rely both on public and private investment, with an estimated budget of 20 million Euros by 2023.
