Atlantic Blues Festival kicks-off in Porto on 1 February

The first days of February will be Blues days in Porto. Swing Station Dance School features the 5th edition of the Atlantic Blues Festival, at Casa da Música from 1 to 4 February.

Port City Hall hosts the first "World Heritage Sites in the Atlantic Area" event on 30 January at Casa do Infante, at 2.30 pm., in the framework of the "AtlaS-WH - Heritage in the Atlantic Area: Sustainability of the Urban World Heritage" project, funded by the INTERREG - Atlantic Area programme.

Circolando premieres dance show "Raio X" at Municipal Theatre Campo Alegre, on February

"Circolando" by André Braga and Cláudia Figueiredo debuts the dance show "Raio X" on 1st February, at Campo Alegre Municipal Theatre, starting at 9.30 pm. Artistic Directors André Braga and Cláudia Figueiredo launch the challenge: inquiring on the ethereal and weightlessness of things, where "lights echoe", "interstitial whites", and the "resonance of what's visible".

Porto hosts first Digital Literacy and Education Summit in November

The 1st Literacy Summit takes place at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto, between 1 and 3 November 2018 and its fundamental goal is to focus on literacy taking a much broader view by addressing technique, science and technology. Applications can be submitted till 19 March.

Show catalogue marking 75 years of Coliseu Porto is launched on 31 January

Show catalogue for the exhibition "O Coliseu e a Cidade: 75 anos de histórias" [Coliseu and the City: 75 years of Stories] will be launched on 31 January at the City Hall main lobby, by reputed musician Pedro Abrunhosa. This event is open to the public and it is scheduled to start at 6.30 pm.

Aleixo district "goes to" Berlin on 19 February

The film "Russa", produced under the "Cultura em Expansão" Municipal Programme, will be screened on 19 February, at 4 pm at the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival. Directed by João Salaviza (who has won the Golden Bear in 2012) and Ricardo Alves Jr., the film portrays the day to day situations of the Aleixo district and it is presented as highlight at the event that runs in Berlin between 15 and 25 February.

Celebrating music in Cedofeita for the weekend

The Feast of Music is back to enliven the weekend. Partygoers will be able to buy and exchange records, instruments or other items, see live performances and visit exhibitions, whose topic is attached to the world of music. This event is sponsored by Porto City Hall and the entrance is free. Saturday the event takes place from 10 am to 7 pm and on Sunday it runs from 2 pm to 7 pm.
