Camellias bloom at this time of year, signalling the coming of spring at the São Bento Metro Station, where the 24th Camellias Exhibition bloomed with vigour.

Visit the exhibition at São Bento Station, on 2 and 3 March to celebrate the queen of winter flowers, as camellias are splendid evergreen shrubs that burst into flower, enlivening the city green spaces and gardens.

From 6 to 8 June, Nos Primavera Sound event is well worth the trip as festival goers can get to experience Porto's culture and bond in a lively and kicking atmosphere, in the City Park.

The Cândido dos Reis Street is the place to go this weekend and stroll around the Mercadinho dos Clérigos [Clérigos Market], on 23 February, from 10 am till 8 pm. Be immersed by the pleasant street bustle and hustle as the weather forecast will apparently bring a sense of spring.

This Saturday, on 16 February, Bolhão Temporary Market hosts another edition of "Bolhão em Festa" initiative and vendors and visitors alike can enjoy the sound of flute compositions by Porto Music Conservatory, conducted by Professor Marco Pereira, starting at 3 pm.

The music of Matthew Herbert, Kiasmos, Moodymann or Inner City come together in the Electric Music Festival in Porto, from 26 to 28 July, at Parque da Pasteleira.

From 21 to 24 February, the magnificent Stock Exchange Palace will host the 16th edition of The Wine Essence Porto, surely the most eagerly-anticipated occasion of the wine events calendar in Portugal featuring big ticket bottles and inspiring tastings.

The February edition of the Flea Market takes place on 16th February at the Silo Auto. Between 2 pm and 7 pm, there's plenty of time to strolling around and find a variety of goods, memorabilia and vintage items, while enjoying a magnificent landscape scenario of the city of Porto, as the market is held at the Silo Auto 7th floor.

There is a new resident at Sea Life Porto, the first one to be born in captivity. The baby streak of the fish species Rhinoptera bonasus, better known as Cownose ray, was born in September in the Sea Life Aquarius in Porto, and it is now, for the first time, shown to the public.

It is Carnival season at Bolhão Temporary Market and there will be carnival activities to display imagination on the topic of fishmonger's stalls and the fish from the sea and from the river. The workshop happens on 9 February and starts at 3 pm. Entrance, as usual, is free.
