The MIPIM, the most importante Real Estate Fair in Europe is taking place in Cannes, from 12 to 15 March. The city of Porto participates with a Stand of its own and Councillor for Urbanism and Patrimony, Pedro Baganha explains Porto strategy.

Four decades after the best worlwide universities' programmers started competing, the final is closer than ever, with the 2019 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) taking place in Porto, from 31 March to 6 April.

The duo Giant Swan lands in Porto to take the stage at Rivoli, on 15 March. This is a joint production of Porto Municipal Theatre and Lovers & Lollypops. The British band will go on stage at Rivoli Theatre, on Friday, March 15th, to perform at 11pm, under the Understage Cycle.

The National Press Museum announced the prizewinning cartoon of PortoCartoon 2019. The cartoon winner was created by the Belgian cartoonist Luc Descheemarker, depicting Donald Trump's face and hair as a chameleon with a dollar bill on its mouth.

The world famous Port Wine has now a new home in the city that bears its name; the new Museum of Porto Wine was inaugurated on 5th March in the Ribeira by Mayor Rui Moreira, "because here is the place of Port wine".

Photographic work by artist Elvira Leite, carried out in 1977 in Porto will be on show at the Mishkin Gallery, New York, from 13 March till 9 May 2019. Entrance is free.
