Rivoli celebrates the 20th anniversary of French Film
This is the 20th edition of the French Film Festival and Rivoli theatre hosts an eclectic programming, from 22 to 27 October.

"A menor língua do mundo" or the world's smallest language at Theatre Campo Alegre, on 4 and 5 October
In 2100 the world may have lost half of its languages: out of the 7000 languages spoken, it is estimated that nearly 50% doesn't survive till the turn of the century". So as to create the performance "A menor língua do Mundo",["The world's smallest language", free translation], Alex Cassal and Paula Diogo's team travelled to different regions to try to understand the memory and the practice of these languages, by talking to various artists and peoples.
2019 Palm d'Or "Parasite" premieres at Campo Alegre
Film director Bong Joon-ho comes out with his newest universal acclaimed film: "Parasite", which premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on 21 May 2019, winning the Palme d'Or, and thus becoming the first Korean film to receive the award and the first film to win with a unanimous vote since 2013's Blue Is the Warmest Colour.

A Herdade is a 2019 Portuguese drama film directed by Tiago Guedes. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 76th Venice International Film Festival. The film premieres at Campo Alegre on 19 September 2019.
"Pulp Fiction" by Quentin Tarantino is back to movie theatres 25 years after the premiere
"Pulp Fiction", iconic film directed by Quentin Tarantino, and which saw the return to the Seventh Art of actor John Travolta, is back to Portuguese movie theatres and the screening is scheduled for 1 October, at the Municipal Theater Rivoli, with sessions at 6.30pm and 9.30pm.
