In three months' time, Casa da Música commemorates its 15th anniversary - it was inaugurated on 15th April 2005. In the meantime, this cultural buildinge features a record breaking number of visits - over seven million visitors - which demonstrates the ongoing enthusiasm for the building designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and its unique roll call of concerts all over the years.

The process to designate Porto Customs Building as a National Monument has already begun. The Directorate-General for Cultural Patrimony (DGPC) wants to designate the riverfront building in Miragaia, designed by the French architect Jean Colson, hired in Paris by the Portuguese statesman and engineer Fontes Pereira de Melo.

This year's child and juvenile festival lasts for six days in the Invicta, featuring the most creative and original feature and short films to be screened at Rivoli Theatre, Almeida Garrett Municipal Library, Casa das Artes and the rectory of the University of Porto.

The programming of the 2020 edition of Porta-Jazz Festival is revealed little by little. A first list of headliners reveals the names of Peter Evans, Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra, Impermanence by Susana Santos Silva, HVIT by João Grilo and Miguel C. Tavares and PULSE! by Ricardo Coelho feat. Frederico Heliodoro.

Rivoli Municipal Theatre hosts the Porta-Jazz Festival from 7 to 9 February 2020. This 10th edition features unique partnerships and exchanges of musicians, both national and international.

Two spectacular days to celebrate Rivoli's 88th anniversary. The Rivoli will run an anniversary programme stretching out pleasantly from 16th to 19th January, featuring dance, music, theatre, installation and literature. All activities are free and suitable to all audiences.

Get to know Ludwig van Beethoven's work as the University of Porto and Porto Pianofest organise an array of activities devoted to the German composer and pianist, from 6 to 9 January 2020. Entrance is free.
