Jack Broadbent is back in Porto for a memorable Blues concert at Casa-Museu Marta Ortigão Sampaio, on 26 September, at 5.30pm.

"A location for every story" is the motto that Porto will present at the 12th edition of ART&TUR 2019, the International Tourism Film Festival and the voting is already open.

Porto Book Fair aims to offer its visitors the best films under the aegis of Europe. Guilherme Blanc and Joana Canas Marques, curators of the Cinema Programme, have selected films that approach cultural and political events that demonstrate Europe's identity matrix.

Everyone's invited to join us on 12 September, at Rivoli Theatre and get to know the Municipal Theatre programme of plays and events for the forthcoming season. The evening will start at 7pm. Entrance is free.

Book fairs are all about books... well, not quite, as there are lots of correlative actions and related activities that go along these cultural events. Porto Book Fair is no exception, with an array of events, targeted at the younger audiences such as performances, puppet shows, workshops, paintings and much more.

The film by Portuguese diretor Leonor Teles, "Cães que ladram aos pássaros" [Dogs barking at birds] was awarded the Venice Short Film Nomination for the European Film Awards 2019, on 8 September in Venice.

"Dogs Barking at Birds" is the film commissioned by Porto City Hall to Portuguese director Leonor Teles and it is nominated for the Best Short Film at the Venice International Film Festival. Cast and crew are already in Venice and are aiming at awards glory, hand in hand with planetary stars of the likes of Juliette Binoche, Brad Pitt and Meryl Streep.

Theatre Campo Alegre features the "25XBuñuel" Cycle, from 2 to 12 September. This cinema cycle is devoted to the artistic legacy of Luís Buñuel.

If you happen to cross Bolhão neighbourhood, you'll see the construction site sidings covered with creative urban art. Although utilitarian, these sidings are also a formidable opportunity to have a creative feedback on urban art as a ways of expressing the contexts of urban realities, this case being the comprehensive rehabilitation work that is ongoing at the iconic Bolhão Market building and enveloping area.
