Porto teaches children road safety in Campanhã

Porto City Hall promoted an activity to raise children awareness on road safety, jointly with the Mapfre Foundation, in the context of the Risk Education Municipal Programme. The goal is to teach the rules of road safety to school kids, aged 8 to 12, with the support of police officers.

Children's party at Quinta do Covelo in Porto

From 31 may till 2 June, the Children's Party, which will take place at Quinta do Covelo, has in store a wide offer of sport and recreational activities, performances, workshops and exhibitions and even a market. The event is organised by Porto City Hall and PortoLazer, in the context of the International Children's Day celebration, on 1 June. Entrance is free.

Museum of FC Porto is granted another two awards

The Portuguese Museology Association - APOM - distinguished the projects "Histórias na Cidade" and "Rota do Dragão", of the Museum of FC Porto. It is worth mentioning that in 2015, the APOM had already awarded the Innovation and Creativity Prize to the Museum FC Porto, which is also the first Associate Member of the World Tourism Organisation of the United Nations.

Volotea commends dynamic performance of Porto Airport and wants more flight frequencies

Volotea, the Spanish low-cost airliner will strengthen its operations at the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. The airliner started operations at Porto Airport in April 2019 with flight connections to Bilbao.

The University of Porto inaugurated the first Confucius Institute, on 24 May, in Porto. The institute is located at Rua de Ceuta and it is the result of the partnership between the University of Porto and the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
