The World Battle is coming to Porto!

One thousand dancers! This is how many dancer will be dancing all the way through Porto, from 29 April until 5 May. Aged between five and fifty years old, they come from all the corners of the world and gather for another edition of The World Battle, the largest urban dance competition and "the major event of its kind in Portugal", according to PortoLazer.

For six full days, the Invicta will be the capital of technology and innovation as the University of Porto will play host to the final, which will happen on 4 April.

The year 2019 is the "Caosar" year, as in "Chaos", which Paulo Cunha e Silva called "the world's most beautiful signature". This project is divided in 16 moments (Dobras), taking place in several venues of the city of Porto and at the University. One of the highlights of the "Caosar" is the opening of the exhibit themed "À Volta do Ato Médico" ["Looping the Medical Act", free translation], on 3 April at the Rectory of the University of Porto.

Italian Cinema Festival is back in Porto at Cinema Trindade

The Italian Cinema Festival will kick-off in Porto from 10 to 14 April, at Cinema Trindade with the screening of "Notti Magiche", by Paolo Virzí, at 9.30pm, on 10 April. The main goal of this event is that this "is a moment of meeting and discovery between the cultures of both countries, which despite distance are clearly close".

Classical music greatest hits concert by Porto Symphony Orchestra at Casa da Música

Casa da Música in Porto delivers a master performance by Porto Symphony Orchestra, with a repertoire of excellence, on 29 March, at 9.30pm at Sala Suggia. The programme for 29 March features four pieces that are deemed the 19th century greatest hits, directed by Steven Sloane.
