The United Nations convene in Porto in April

The Rectorate of the University of Porto plays host to a first-of-its-kind meeting. From 17 to 19 April, Porto will convene the United Nations Assembly, where university students and secondary school students will play the role of United Nations Delegates and will address the major issues on the United Nations agenda.

Tradition will parade through the streets of Porto this Wednesday, March 28 to celebrate the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles as described in the Canonical gospels. This ancient tradition known as Maundy or Holly Thursday [Procissão das Endoenças] relives the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter.

First edition of Porto Drum Show gathers three greatest drummers of all time

Germans Benny Greb and Claus Hessler and British Kaz Rodriguez will be in Porto for the premiere of Porto Drum Show, which will take place on April 1. The fundamental goal of such event is to put Porto in the international scene of percussion events, in order to strengthen excellence and raise the level of excellence of Porto as a hosting city comparable with London, Manchester or Seville .

Musical "Terra dos Sonhos" will be on stage at Casa da Música on April 1 and 2

On April 1 and 2, Casa da Música hosts the solidarity musical event "Terra dos Sonhos", starting at 9.30 pm. Spring concert in Coliseu Porto features Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and the Choir of the Faculty of Arts of Porto University

Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra and the Choir of the Faculty of Arts of Porto University will play a concert together to celebrate spring, on April 21 at 9.30 pm. The concert will present the Piano Concerto No.21 in C major, K.467 by Mozart and "A Symphony to Dante's Divine Comedy, S.109, or simply the "Dante Symphony", a program symphony composed by Franz Liszt.
