The music of Matthew Herbert, Kiasmos, Moodymann or Inner City come together in the Electric Music Festival in Porto, from 26 to 28 July, at Parque da Pasteleira.

There is a new resident at Sea Life Porto, the first one to be born in captivity. The baby streak of the fish species Rhinoptera bonasus, better known as Cownose ray, was born in September in the Sea Life Aquarius in Porto, and it is now, for the first time, shown to the public.

It is Carnival season at Bolhão Temporary Market and there will be carnival activities to display imagination on the topic of fishmonger's stalls and the fish from the sea and from the river. The workshop happens on 9 February and starts at 3 pm. Entrance, as usual, is free.

The technological platform H2 Porto is as management tool that comprises not only the management of the water supply, the waste water systems and the rain water network, but also the streams and beaches of Porto and collects information from 22 different origins to over 400 users.

If you happen to be in Porto on Saturday 9 February, Porto Belo Market is a must-see in the city. From 10 am to 7 pm, you can find anything in the stalls of this ancient city market, which is inspired by the London-based PortoBello.

A stroll amongst tulips bursting in colours might just be what one needs to brighten grimmer days, namely at Garden Marques de Oliveira, also known as Garden of S. Lázaro, which is also the oldest garden in Porto. Here, residents and tourists alike see them at their best advantage.

The third edition of North Music Festival is back to welcome the best of rock and indie in Porto and pulls unparalleled line-ups such as Capitão Fausto, Franz Ferdinand and Bastille. Set up your agenda for 24 and 25 May at Porto Customs Building. Early birds till 17 February.
